In 2015, Qtechnology extended this same platform—originally developed for Qtec smart cameras—to hyperspectral imaging. In close collaboration with Newtec, smart hyperspectral cameras for industrial and research applications were developed using the same advanced data-handling techniques to achieve higher acquisition speeds and improved data quality. True to the Qtec philosophy, these solutions remain fully open source, ensuring that end users have full access to all captured raw data, should they choose to use it.By processing images directly on the camera, these systems eliminate the need for external hardware, reducing latency and meeting the high-throughput demands of modern industrial applications. Qtechnology offers a portfolio of modular smart camera platforms with integrated CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs, as well as Edge AI processing, compatible with a wide range of sensor heads, including CCD, CMOS, scientific CMOS, thermal microbolometers, and multi- or hyperspectral imaging sol...
